The main window is made up of two main panels:

1) Replication Job List Table:

The Replication Job List Table is located in the top panel and displays a list of all configured Replication Jobs.  Selecting a job allows you to view or edit the job settings, copy the job configuration, immediately perform a full or incremental backup, or view job status, alerts, current activity, etc.  When a Replication Job is selected, you can perform any of these actions by selecting the action from the Job Menu, clicking on one of the Job Action Toolbar buttons above the Replication Job List Table, or by using the right mouse click context menu.

The Replication Job List Table shows the most vital information for all configured Replication Jobs and serves as a consolidated, birds-eye-view of the general status of your jobs.  If there are any current alerts for any jobs it will be displayed in red in the alert column of this list.  Therefore, if there are no alerts, you can assume everything is running smoothly.  The Replication Job List Table contains the following fields:

Id

Unique ID used internally by Peer DRS to identify a Replication Job

Job Name

A description of the Replication Job

Job Type

Type of replication, e.g. MS SQL Server, MS Exchange Server, etc.

Last Full Backup

The date and time the last full backup was performed

Last Incremental Backup

The date and time the last incremental backup was performed

Job Status

A description of the status/state of the job.  This field will be updated when incremental or full backups are in progress, otherwise it will show whether a job is scheduled, paused or if it is in Manual Mode.

Alerts

Shows current alert conditions for the job.  An alert will be displayed if there was an error executing the last backup or an error occurred copying or restoring to any of the configured targets.  Mousing over the field will display a detailed description of the alert(s).  To find out more detail you should go to the Job Status Summary View.

Mousing over any of the above fields will give you additional information about the content in the corresponding fields.  You can sort the job list by any of the columns by clicking on the column header.

For example, mousing over a Replication Job name will display the current job setting for that job without needing to drill down into the replication settings dialog.

2) Job Summary Panel:

The Job Summary Panel is a multi-purpose panel that displays different Replication Job detail and information based on which Job Summary View is selected.  There are four main views which can be selected using the View Menu or by clicking on one of the Job Summary Panel radio buttons.  See the Job Summary Views section for more details of the different views.

You can also resize the Replication Job List Panel and the Job Summary Panel by selecting and dragging the Window Divider up or down.  You can also maximize and minimize either of the two panels by clicking on the minimize/maximize arrows located on the left size of the Window Divider.
