Step 3 - Select the Primary Data Source & Database |
|
|
Peer DRS Help > Replication Modules > MS Exchange Server > Creating an MS Exchange Server Server Replication Job > Step 3 - Select the Primary Data Source & Database |

| 1. | Select a previously configured Primary Data Source from the drop down list. After selecting a data source the Primary Database drop down list will be automatically populated with all databases residing on the data source's storage group. A live connection to the data source is required in order to configure a replication job. |
| 2. | Your only choice will be to backup "All Databases" in the Data Source's Storage Group. |
| 3. | Selecting a valid Primary Data Source & Database will enable the Backup Settings button. You will not be able to configure the Backup Settings until you have selected a valid primary data source and database combination. Click on the Backup Settings to continue to Step 4 - Configure the Backup Settings & Schedule. |
| 4. | Disable all backup & restore schedules for this job (Manual Mode): Checking this option will put the entire job in Manual Mode which will prevent all existing job schedules to run automatically. When a job is in Manual Mode, you can still run full or incremental backups ad hoc by selecting the corresponding option from the Job Menu. This is useful for testing different backup settings, or may be desired for cloning/backing up static databases that rarely change. |
