The Job Status Summary View allows you to view overall job status for all pieces of the replication process for a particular Replication Job and is by far the most useful tool for viewing a Job’s current status and determining whether all targets are currently synchronized with the primary database.

This view can be activated by selecting a Replication Job and clicking on the Job Status Summary menu item from the View menu or by selecting the Job Status Summary radio button just below the Replication Job List table.  When this view is activated, the Job Summary Panel is updated with Job summary status information for the primary backup as well as all target databases.

Note: You can easily tell if any Target is currently not synchronized with the last backup of the Primary Database (based on the configured backup schedule) by looking at the status column for each Target Database.  As you can see below all jobs are currently synchronized with the Primary Database.

Job Summary Status Information

The Job Status Summary View provides full summary detail for each piece of the replication process for the selected Replication Job including backup, target file copy and target restores, as well as general backup statistics.  It displays information for the last successful run of all scheduled replication tasks (backup, file copy and restore) as well as any current errors, and most importantly whether the target databases are currently "in-sync" with the Primary Database and whether any of the specific jobs schedules are disabled.  The errors section won’t appear if the system is operating correctly.   You can also click on the backup folder links to open the folder in an Explorer window.

The job summary panel displays the following information for a selected Replication Job:

Full Backup:  Last backup, last backup file used, last backup file size, elapsed time, next scheduled time.
Incremental Backup:  Last backup, last backup file used, last backup file size, elapsed time, next scheduled time.
If Errors exist:  Job Type, Number of times the error occurred, last start time, last end time, error message.
Link to the backup directory that will open up in Windows Explorer.

For each configured Target Database the following information is displayed:

Full Restore, Incremental Restore and File Copy status with the following fields:  Last Run Date, Filename, File Size, Elapsed Time, Schedule Status (e.g. scheduled, disabled, etc), Status (Synchronized, Out of Sync, etc)
If Errors exist then a list of the errors with a detailed message is displayed.

Below is a sample of a Replication Job containing an error for a configured target database.  In this case, the database does not exist on the target and the user did not configure the job to allow for the target database to be automatically created.  Also notice that the alert is displayed in the Replication Job List table Alerts column.  If a full or incremental backup job is currently running, or if any target file copy or restore job is running, then the corresponding Schedule Status column will indicate this along with the time the job was started.
