TCP WAN Connector

Overview

TCP WAN Connector is an option (for PeerSync Workstation and PeerSync Server) that allows for File transfer between a local or network shared machine and a remote device.

• TCP can be beneficial when trying to synchronize to a location over the internet.

* Note: We strongly recommend the use of a VPN when transferring files over the public Internet for security purposes. Otherwise, you should use our Encryption feature with a user name and password to protect data and all communication as it is being transferred.

Licensing

The "TCP" option requires the installation of the PSListener Agent on the remote device. This option is simply turned on for the existing PeerSync base License.
