Embedded Open File Managter (EOFM)
Overview
EOFM is an option (for PeerSync Workstation and PeerSync
Server) that allows you to access locked files using the Embedded Open File Manager.
Licensing
The "Embedded Open File Manager(EOFM)" allows PeerSync to access locked files using the EOFM feature of Windows Platforms*. PeerSync has to be installed on the machine where locked data resides.

Specifications
- Ability to access locked source files for complete backup to selected target folders.
- Backup files used by MS Outlook (.pst) while Outlook is in use.
- Backup QuickBooks, or Quicken files in the background without user intervention.
- Automatically backup any active database file, such as Exchange and SQL, without disrupting normal operations.
Limitations
- EOFM cannot overwrite target files that are opened or in use and will not merge changes from one database to another.
- EOFM will not merge record changes between different MS Outlook sessions.
- EOFM cannot run in real-time mode.
- If PeerSync Server is set to run in real-time, changes requiring EOFM for access will be queued to run on a two-hour interval by default (30 minutes minimum).
