Enhanced Scanning (for Multi-Threading)
Overview
- Enhanced Scanning is an option (for PeerSync Server) that works in conjunction with the Multi-Threading feature by further using the multiple
job and copy threads feature to shorten the time of completion of a specific job
scan. With this feature individual jobs will be dynamically split into subjobs for
more efficient scanning and improved performance.
- Enhanced Scanning (for Multi-Threading) can be beneficial when trying to synchronize large
number of files/folders further minimizing the time it takes for the files to reach the
targets. This option is reccomended when running in a Collaboration, Distribution
and Backup of machines containing large number of folders/files or part of a scenario with larger number of machines.
Licensing
The "Enhanced Scanning" option does not require an additional application for either
the source or the target machines. This option is simply turned on for the existing
PeerSync base license. To be able to use this option your PeerSync license must
have the Multi-Threading feature also enabled.
Platform
Windows 2000/2003/XP/Vista
Key Features
Enhanced Scanning - this powerful feature dynamically builds multiple sub Jobs from each Job
in a Profile for parallel processing of folder scans, shortening the time of completion for scanning and improving performance.
