Peer DRS v1.2.5
On October 14th, Peer Software released Peer DRS v1.2.5.
This minor release addresses some fixes to reported issues as well as application
improvements.
We encourage everyone to be on the latest version of the software to optimize performance
for their MS SQL and/or MS Exchange Backup and Replication tasks.
Key Peer DRS v1.2.5 Fixes and Enhancements:
- Added support for SQL Server 2008.
- Support for streaming compression of backups for SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition.
- Added option to enable/disable truncating database log files after a full backup is performed.
- Created new 64-bit (AMD64 / Intel EM64T) version of Peer DRS.
- Added a check to see if remote streaming backups are disabled for Exchange 2007 (which is now the default for Exchange 2007 SPI), and if so, display a message on how to fix this by adding a new registry key.
