As businesses’ IT infrastructures evolve by leveraging virtualization to address the company’s needs of central management and scalable solutions, it is important to implement a proven virtual server backup plan that is able to provide high availability and data protection.
Most disaster recovery solutions require the installation of a low level driver application on the physical Host machine to enable real-time data protection for the individual virtual environment. This type of backup will not provide continuous protection since the virtual systems are hosted within Guest OS layers and the Operating System's events will only be detected at the machine level and not at the primary Host level.
Backup technologies have generally not kept pace with the challenges presented in virtualized environments.

 In order to provide continuous data protection for Parallels Virtuozzo Containers,
the backup software solution needs to be able to monitor the virtual OS drives for file event changes and provide real-time replication for a top-of-the-line disaster recovery solution.
Peer Software products are not hardware specific therefore are not tied to a specific hard disk. As long as a drive is visible by the Virtual Machine as a local drive, whether the drive is configured as a virtual disk or as a “raw disk” partition, our products will be able to read and monitor its content. Our software can be installed on the Windows virtual machines providing continuous virtual server backup, protecting the data in the same way as we would for physical servers.
